很多中文字是有对应的英文单词的，而且很准确：宗教religion,灵和魂，spirit and soul, 羡慕和嫉妒envy and jealous没看上文的，翻成一样，这不也像作者说明了其实是有很统一的翻译的。

美国人用惯了英语，当然是说得溜的咯。除了口语之外还有许多书面语，丰富写作的时候情境的需要。人在口头上还有很多哩语，像电影里面一样表达一些直接的感情。

看着有点晕，是想问问学英语的困惑吧。英语和中文区别确实挺大的，英语习惯用一个简单的名词就能表达很多意思，汉语习惯四个字的词，形容词也很多。这都是跨文化的异，很正常。多看看网上的学习资源，像北外星光，新东方在线，译客网什么的会有帮助的。

不敢苟同。至少我知道宗教是religion， 灵和魂 soul 和 spirit，羡慕和嫉妒 envy 和 jealous。有时候你觉得表达不出来只是因为你对英语的了解还不够深。就好像你会要一个的小学生去写出金庸一般的吗？

宗教与哲学区别？

哲学和宗教都是人们在思考和寻找“我们从哪里来，我们在那里和我们将到哪里去”的问题

它们的异是很小的，宗教注重安抚广大教众，教众不需要太思考“为什么”，宗教的思考已经在创建时完成了，已经神化，不可冒犯。教众需要的只是相信。

而哲学从本质上讲是思考“我们从哪里来，我们在那里和我们将到哪里去”，作用与宗教创建时的思考没什么区别。不同的是哲学提供不了一个神化的偶像来给大家崇拜，或则说是哲学思考太多变不能提供一个稳定的偶像来供大家崇拜。

如果哲学提供一个稳定的不可冒犯的偶像，其无论是人，物还是理论，那哲学也就不是哲学了，变成了宗教。

举个例子，“达尔文进化论”，大多数人相信，不问原由不容许更新的别的理论提出，而且又不知道“达尔文进化论”到底是说什么的。那它就更像宗教而不是哲学。

哲学研究的是真理，通过不断的研究最终越来越接近真相，宗教是给你一个人生观并且你要无条件的相信，宗教解释不了哲学但哲学研究的范畴却包含了宗教，

当你内心烦恼时，哲学给你讲一堆道理，可是你依然烦恼。告诉你熄灭烦恼的方法，如果你相信，实践了，你会发现烦恼逐渐减轻了，消灭了。所以佛法涵盖哲学却又超越哲学。

哲学主要由知入理，宗教主要由情入理。由于个体基因和人生经历的不同，学习哲学的大部分人是迷茫的，宗教信徒大部分人是迷信的。只有极少一部分能领悟哲学真理和宗教真谛。对个人而言，哲学是思考的学问，是抽象的，科学去进行验证。而宗教是古代流传至今包含神学、哲学、科学的学说，是需要用行动去进行实证的，不实证直接信，称为“迷信”。
